11TH AUGUST Modern calligraphy workshop in Manchester

Sorry, this item has sold.

--- Calligraphy workshops are a lovely gift, we have such a fun afternoon... ---
--- so why not book 2 places and bring your best friend, your mum or your other half? ---

A modern calligraphy workshop in Manchester's Northern Quarter where you will learn everything to get you started with quirky handwritten lettering styles.

You’ll learn how to write with a traditional dip pen, using lightness and pressure to create beautiful thin and thick strokes. I'll teach the basics of a modern calligraphy alphabet and introduce you to brush pen calligraphy too!

Calligraphy pens, paper, inks, practice sheets and examples will be provided.

At the end of the calligraphy workshop you’ll take home your pen and nib set, paper and practice sheets and guidelines for practicing at home. I'll also bring a handful of my own calligraphy books which you can buy on the day at a reduced rate of just £15 - perfect if you want to keep practising modern calligraphy at home.

The price is £59 payable on booking and places are limited so please book early! I teach every workshop myself and will be there all day to help you learn your calligraphy skills.

Time: from 1pm to 3:30pm on Friday the 11th of August 2017.
Location: The Manchester Craft & Design Centre, 17 Oak St, M4 5JD (Northern Quarter - 10-15 mins walk from Piccadilly station)
